Belize offers a unique experience for study
abroad because of its multicultural nature,
significant archaeological sites, and English
as the primary language. Students have the
opportunity to learn anthropology in the midst
of another culture without a language barrier.
As home to some of the most important
archaeological sites of the Mayan world, Belize
offers the opportunity to explore the rise of
cultural complexity and the evolution of a state
level society, as well as the results of colonialism
and current situation for modern Maya people.

*Cost of Trip includes:

•Airport pick up and ground transportation
throughout the trip
•10 nights accommodation as detailed in
the itinerary
•4 nights at Monkey Bay Sanctuary
lodges, 2 nights in Maya Centre Village
homestays, 2 nights at Trek Stop cabins,
and 2 nights at a Tobacco Caye Field

• Space is limited. Program deposit of $250.00 is due at the time of application
and no later than February 27th. Final payment deadline is April 3, 2015.
Applicants can reserve a spot in the program by hitting the “Apply Now” button
and completing the on-line program application. Once accepted, applicants can
confirm their place in the program by paying the program deposit of $250. The
deposit is applied toward the cost of the program, $200 of which will be fully
refundable if participant withdraws before the priority application deadline of
February 27, 2015.
