COPE The COPE program at Queensborough Community College, located in the Library building provides students receiving Public Assistance/Human Resources Administration (HRA) with the academic and professional development support needed for a successful educational experience while providing the opportunity to obtain gainful employment,which will in turn will foster financial independence, self-confidence and personal growth. Assist students with HRA mandates The 2009/10FY brought 1,678 students to the COPE program and a caseload of 225 students. For the 2010/11FY, COPE assisted 989 students and maintained a caseload of 167 students. For a decrease of 689 students seen and a decrease of 55 students from the caseload. The CUNY student is changing at QCC especially creating greater challenges for the COPE program in terms of job placement performance outcomes. COPE receives a roster of Continuing students from UAPC. Students are accommodated as their needs present themselves. Caseload is based on students need for HRA related services. They are contacted by mail, e-mail and telephone outreach. Academic advisement is provided to enhance services and help with students success.
