International Students The Center for International Affairs, Immigration & Study Abroad (The Center) primary mission is to assist International Students to maintain their legal F-1 status while studying at Queensborough C.C. (QCC), and it promotes and assists students to accomplish academic and leadership goals at QCC. In addition, The Center assist students and the Queen’s community with immigration issues, such as obtaining any immigration benefits for which they may be eligible, and educate individuals about U. S. Immigration laws and their rights as immigrants. Moreover, The Center facilitates study abroad opportunities for students to make the process as smooth as possible by advising students about their global opportunities according to their academic goals. Core Activities and Performance Core Activity Key PI Indicators New Student Orientation Workshop (2 Days) An immigration law requirement list is given to students to No acknowledge and sign. A questionnaire is given to students at the beginning and end of the orientation. Academic Advisement The majority of new students were able to complete their classes No successfully due to proper advisement. Their academic process is monitored over the semester. Academic Achievement More than 75% of the F-1 students have achieved a GPA of 2.50 and above. Yes Study Abroad Advisory Committee The Advisory Committee promotes the Study Abroad Program to students on campus, and assist in the programs' desicion process.
