Immunization Data Processing Volume of service, accurate and Vaccination Clinics CUNYFirst compliance reports, and successful integration of DOE downloads into the CUNYFirst system. Actual outcomes Achieved 100% Measles, Mumps, and Rubella New York State compliance. Recommended action plans* (1) Work with CUNYFirst to modify future compliance reports to maintain accurate information reported to the State. Health Awareness and Education – Volume of Service (attendance sheets and surveys) First Aid Treatment and Counseling/Off-Campus Referrals – Volume and quality of service (first aid logs, office customer service surveys, and accident reports) Offer a wide array of important health workshops relevant to the student population to educate as well as to assist in retention. An additional goal is to promote future health knowledge to our student body. Provide on the spot quality first aid and emergency treatment within the limited resources of Health Services. (2) Decrease in turnaround time in processing and approving withdrawals due to loss of one full-time and one part-time employee. (2) Request additional nurse to assist current staff in order to expedite re-admission of academically dismissed students due to WU grades and eligible for Medical Withdrawal assistance and approval. (1) 100% health insurance coverage for the QCC student athlete population. (2) The Office will continue to have an open door policy where members of the campus community are able to consult with a nurse on personal health issues and concerns. An additional Nurse is recommended and requested in order to meet the foreseen increase number of students utilizing Health Services for medical services and campus emergencies. A decrease in campus community service is directly related to limited part time nursing coverage despite numerous requests with justifications, especially with the increase number of students staff and faculty requesting medical/counseling services. (1) Continue to work closely with students and health insurance providers to ensure viable health insurance opportunities. (2) 100% of those students screened who completed and submitted application received health insurance coverage. Medically cleared 100% of all Nursing and students for their clinical rotations. (1) Continue to review and maintain requirements for the proceeding semester, at least three months in advance. (2) Incorporate increase in hospital medical requirements in order to satisfy medical clearances and adhere to new hospital/nursing policy. (3) Maintain system of submitting requirements to Nursing Department so that Professors can distribute requirements to their students. (4) Create new system of submitting requirements to Massage Therapy program so that Professors can distribute requirements to their students. Massage Therapy Medical Clearances Medically clear 100% of students enrolled in the Massage Therapy Program. Medically cleared 97% of Massage Therapy Students and 84% of Massage therapy students picked up their medical clearances. (5) Request for additional RN has been denied by Administration. Due to denial, turnaround time will increase and delay processing and issuance of student medical clearance. (1) Continue to review and maintain requirements for the proceeding semester, at least three months in advance. (2) Incorporate increase in hospital medical requirements in order to satisfy medical clearances and adhere to new hospital/nursing policy. (3) Maintain system of submitting requirements to Massage Therapy Department so that Professors can distribute requirements to their students. (4) Create new system of submitting requirements to Massage Therapy program so that Professors can distribute requirements to their students and collect the medical clearances during the first week of classes in each semester. Previous system ineffective due to lack of enforcement in requiring students to submit their medical clearance prior to participating in clinical areas and hand-on classes.
