A. Enrollment and Student Profile ‐‐ Summary
The enrollment in the Photography Certificate program has been declining for the past few years not unlike most certificate programs on campus. Student FTE have recently been in the single digit. Many students are part‐time. Percentages can vary and can be meaningless in some of the demographic tables because of the small numbers. The data does suggest however that the program enrolled Hispanic students more frequently than other minority students in the past six years. More incoming freshmen failed the math placement test than the Reading and Writing placement tests in the last six years, also not unlike the general student population on campus.

There were no first‐time freshmen in Spr10 or Fa12.
A student’s CAA is calculated by UAPC as the average of grades received in all high school courses designated as college preparatory by UAPC, which include courses in English, Math, Social Sciences, Science, Foreign Language, and Fine Arts (only 1 credit of fine arts is counted for CAA). Note that not all courses in those core academic subjects are considered college preparatory. To determine whether a course is college preparatory, UAPC looks at the course content, whether students in the course took an associated Regents exam, and percentages passing the Regents exam. Scores range from 50 to 100.

B. Institutional Effectiveness ‐‐ Summary
Again, the numbers are often too small for meaningful percentage or average reporting. The retention tables suggest that some students stay in the program for a very long time. The program has awarded 124 diplomas to date (Fact book 2012‐13 page 45 plus one certificate awarded since the publication of the Fact Book) although only very few degrees have been awarded recently.
