This position also assists in coordination of USDA Commodities program. QUALIFICATIONS 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 6. High school diploma or equivalent including or supplemented by courses in bookkeeping and/or accounting. A minimum of three (3) years of responsible account keeping experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Knowledge of federal school food services guidelines required. General office skills, including advanced spreadsheet utilization skills Ability to properly apply bookkeeping and accounting principles to actual work. Ability to work with the District Finance Department as required. Ability to perform the essential functions of the position. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES *1. To maintain all invoices and completed purchase order documentation as related to the district food services program. *2. To verify all food services invoices and receipts and process for timely payment. *3. To operate, when necessary, all standard types of office machines, including computerized district accounting software and food services based spreadsheet software. *4. To coordinate resolution of discrepancies and timely payment of vendors through communication with school food services managers and vendors as necessary. *5. To enter data as necessary and related to the food services program, including invoice data and USDA Commodities data. 6. To coordinate distribution of inventory data to school food services managers on a timely basis. 7. To assist with office responsibilities including receptionist duties as necessary to ensure high degree of responsiveness and coordination with parents, school personnel, other district departments and the general public. 8. To perform assigned tasks in a timely and efficient manner. 9. To perform assigned tasks with a high degree of quality. 10. To perform other tasks as assigned by the Food Services Director.
