Master's degree in Educational Leadership or Administration/Supervision. 2. Minimum of five years of successful experience in education or administration. 3. Experience in personnel management or human resources development preferred. 4. Ability to perform the functions of the position. _________________________________________________________________________________________ DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Plans and directs a program for selection and assignment of qualified teachers and support staff. 2. Confers with principals to determine needs for teachers of various classification. 3. Counsels and advises applicants, probationary, and permanent personnel. 4. Directs and monitors the process of leave requests that require District approval. 5. Assists in investigations as needed. 6. Assists in overseeing the personnel records system including the monitoring and destruction schedules established by Florida Statutes, Public Records Act Chapter 119 and Chapter 257. 7. Coordinates Management Systems within the Human Resources Division and the Budget/Finance/ Business Services Division units. 8. Coordinates the processing of application documents for personnel files. 9. Assists in the district's administration selection process. 10. Prepares or supervises the preparation of all required reports and the maintenance of all appropriate records. 11. Coordinates district Drug and Alcohol Testing Program for CDL and all new hires. 12. Coordinates sick leave bank according to state guidelines. 13. Assists in administering the employee grievance procedures adopted by the School Board and preparation and handling of the collective bargaining agreements. 14. Administers the Summer School hiring procedures. 15. Assists in the development of pre-school and yearly planning calendars. 16. Responds to questionnaires, surveys, and correspondence from research or professional organizations, requesting information on the district's personnel program. Page 2 DIRECTOR OF HUMAN RESOURCES 17. Directs the processing of unemployment compensation claims. 18. Performs other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
