Institution Title I, Part D Documentation: Review of the results of the comprehensive needs assessment -Why do you have the Title I program in your school (besides math and reading). -Things to look at include: the root causes worksheet, technology, professional development, changes to your program from the previous year, data/narrative. -Essentially, you need to discuss why you have a Title I program in your school. Interview: Explain how the instructional program is delivered, the academic needs of the students and program goals are met. Describe how your program’s staff works with local businesses to develop training, mentoring and work-related programs for students. Describe any collaboration with other community resources and service providers. -Discuss the goals from your application. -Discuss what kind of programs you offer in your school. -Do you have CTE? -How does transition play a part in your school? -Do you offer Credit Recovery and/or Virtual School? -Does your guidance counselor make individual education plans with your students? -What courses are offered at your school? NCLB Title I, section 1414(c)(11) and section 1415(a)(1) and section 1418 (a)(1-2) The procedures for ensuring the institution designates an individual in each affected correctional facility or institution for neglected or delinquent students to be responsible for issues relating to the transition of students from such facility or institution to locally operated programs.
