PPMS Implementation Notes Implementation – January 14, 2012 General Instructions/Information The information included in this memorandum pertains to the software implementation effective January 13, 2012 Job Rescheduling Requirements PG202M – Monthly processing – Accounting Period PG204M – Periodic Increments PG216M – Semi-Monthly Deduction Reporting PG602R – Auto Pay Raise Update PS0320J – Update LTD Salary Base Due to the deletion of scheduling parameters, it is necessary that the following job groups and job be scheduled after the implementation has completed. If you scheduled any of the following job groups or job in advance (prior to January 14, 2012) to run after the implementation (after January 14, 2012) or have any on a copy-over, you will need to delete them and reschedule. Employee Maintenance Module PS0005 – Benefits Screen We reworked the Life Insurance section. We renamed the fields to match HCA’s names, but left the old part letters in so you can find the fields when writing UDALink reports. We removed the Life Salary Base field as it is no longer used. The new screen layout was discussed at the Fall PPMS User Group meeting. We changed the field names in the messages. Here is how the field names crosswalk: Old Field Name Part A Part B1 Part B2 Part C Part D Part E1 Part E2 New Field Name Emp A Spouse B1 Spouse B2 Dependent Emp D AD&D E1 Amount E2 The documentation for this screen has not been updated on our web site yet, but will be in the near future. PS0015 – Consistency Edit Screen We changed this screen to display the new field names for the life insurance fields and revised the life insurance edits. CR5040J – Life Insurance Report Extract We added Spouse/Domestic Partner Indicator and Dependent Indicator to the CR5040A. We added Dependent Indicator to CR5040D. CR5045J – Life Insurance Premium Summary We removed Life Part C from the report. CR5071J – Insurance Payment Report We renamed the Life Insurance fields on the CR5071B. We also removed the Auto/Home Premium column. The file sent to HCA was changed to conform to their new reporting requirements. PS0115J – Employee Change Register We changed this report to print the new field names for the life insurance fields for changes made on PS0005. PS0110J – Employee Audit PS0120J – Employee Audit Error Report We changed this report to print the new field names for the life insurance fields and revised the life insurance edits. PS0210J – On-Request Benefits Coverage Letters We removed Life Part C and Life Salary Base from printing on the report. Since this is a preprinted form, we couldn’t change the field titles. The Dependent information will print in the life insurance field titled Part C. PS0320J – Update LTD Salary Base We changed the title of the job and the report. We removed the update of the Life Insurance Salary Base. We removed the PS0320-UPD-OPT parameter, since this now only updates the LTD Salary Base. This job runs in the PG204M (Periodic Increments) and the PG602R (Auto Pay Raise Update). If you selected this job in these job groups to only update the Life Insurance Base, you no longer need to select this job when running them. If you ran the PS0320J stand alone to only update the Life Insurance Base, you should no longer run it. Because of the removal of the PS0320-UPD-OPT scheduling parameter, you will need to delete any of these jobs or job groups that you have scheduled for the future and reschedule them. PS0365J – Summary of Employee Benefits and Deductions We removed the Life Salary Base Field and relabeled the other life insurance fields. One Time Update combining Life Part C and Life Part D We processed a one-time update to combine the amount in Life Part C field with the amount in Life Part D and saved the sum in the Life Part D field. We also set the Dependent field to N. You will need to update this field appropriately. Note: We did not change the name of the fields in the database, so if you write any UDALink reports using any of the life fields, you will need to choose them by the old names.
