Project Description:
Located on the Georgetown Campus of SSCC, this project provided for the demolition of a number of
temporary and portable buildings followed by the construction of two new buildings to increase the
available facilities for large-scale work training. It also provides availability for necessary skills lab,
classroom and administrative space in support of current programs in order to accommodate current
students and provide up to 200 FTE capacity. The project also corrected life-safety and operational
safety deficiencies and facilitates interaction with other programs on the SSCC Georgetown Campus.
Square feet:
The project includes two buildings totaling 34,250-gsf., Phase-I is 13,400-gsf and Phase-II is 20,850gsf.
Scope changes:
No sustentative changes have been made in the project scope since the 12/07 report.

Both Phase-I and Phase-II are completed. Changes have been minimal and no further changes are
anticipated.
Discussion of Project Quality
The quality of the project is appropriate to the type of programs housed. The Phase-I building primarily
houses classroom and it has finishes and spaces appropriate to general education on a campus of higher
education. Phase-II supports programs that are primarily industrial in function and it has spaces and
finishes that are appropriate to a heavy-use environment.
