Biographical Note / Historical Note / Administrative History
Built in 1997 the Alumni Center houses the offices of Alumni Programs and is fully equipped to hold
conferences, receptions, and events. Its features include a major assembly hall, conference and meeting
room space, a board room, the Alumni Library, and a 47-foot-high glass conservatory. The building was
designed by internationally renowned architectural firm Pei, Cobb, Freed, and Partners, designers of the
addition to the Louvre and the Holocaust Museum in Washington, DC. The project architect was James
Freed.
Scope and Contents
This collection includes photographs, slides, and video recordings of events at the Ball State University
Alumni Center ranging from 1997 to the present.
