KWAN, HO-KWONG (MICHAEL) Department of Management LeBow College of Business Drexel University Philadelphia, PA 19104-2875 Report to the Office of International Programs for the Academy of Management Conference in Montreal, Canada between August 6 and 10, 2010 I attended the above conference and obtained fruitful results. This conference is the most important international conference in management that is held every year with over 8000 participants. In the paper sessions, I presented two papers: “Empowering leadership and team creativity: The roles of team learning and team creative efficacy” and “Team learning goal orientation, transactive memory system and team innovation.” The discussant and the participants asked me many questions and gave me useful comments. Luckily, my first paper got Best International Implications Paper Award in Organizational Behavior Division, which is a great honor to me and Drexel University. I also attended other sessions to know the updated research findings of other researchers regarding gender, careers, and organizational behaviors. Moreover, I attended Careers Doctoral Consortium organized by Careers Division and the workshop of content analysis taught by many famous scholars. Through these activities, I learned much new knowledge to do qualitative and quantitative research The most fruitful result is that I had opportunities to discuss research issues with other researchers face-to-face. In the session of workplace ostracism, Dr. Sandra Robinson from the University of British Column asked me whether we could join forces to have symposia for next year at the same conference. Indeed, this conference provides a platform for researchers to know each other and extend Drexel reputation to other universities and countries. Thank you for the travel award from the Office of International Programs that encourages me financially and psychologically to submit papers and attend international conferences. I believe that Drexel University directs students to conduct high-quality research and finally promotes the reputation of Drexel University.
