Biographical Note / Historical Note / Administrative History
A major part of the student experience at Ball State comes from experiences outside of the classroom
within the campus housing. For many students this marks their first time living away from home, and
the Office of Housing and Residence Life office has existed to work with and assist students in their
transition to campus living. Ball State has long offered a variety of housing options to meet with the
diverse student body's needs and lifestyles. This collection contains many of the office's promotional and
administrative materials recording its record of service to the Ball State community.
Scope and Contents
This collection includes brochures, handbooks, publications, newsclippings, administrative records,
photographs, advertisements, and audiovisual materials from the Ball State Office of Housing and
Residence Life ranging from 1948-2011.
