STATE SUPERINTENDENT’S TEACHERS’ ADVISORY COUNCIL
You are invited to become a member of the 2007-08 State Superintendent’s Teachers’ Advisory
Council. The first meeting of the school year will be held November 6, 2007, at the Sheraton HotelFour Seasons, Colony A Room, in Greensboro, NC. The event will begin with continental breakfast at
8:30 a.m. followed by the meeting from 9 a.m. until 12 noon.
As leaders in your region and/or association, your expertise is valued. We look forward to your input
about important issues facing public education. Two other meetings will be held during the school
year. They are tentatively scheduled for the mornings of January 23, 2008, and April 15, 2008.
Please confirm your attendance by October 26, 2007, with Frank Pore at fpore@dpi.state.nc.us.
Participants will receive reimbursement for travel expenses at the state rate. School districts will
receive reimbursement for substitutes.
