STATE SUPERINTENDENT’S PARENTS’ ADVISORY COUNCIL
You are invited to participate in the 2007-08 State Superintendent’s Parents’ Advisory Council
meetings. The first meeting of the school year will be held November 7, 2007, in the NC Education
Building, 7th Floor State Board of Education Lounge, Raleigh, NC. The event will begin with a light
breakfast at 8:30 a.m. followed by the meeting from 9 a.m. until 12 noon.
We look forward to your participation and input about important issues facing public education. Two
other meetings will be held during the school year. They are tentatively scheduled for the mornings of
January 24, 2008, and April 16, 2008.
Please confirm your attendance by October 26, 2007, with Frank Pore at fpore@dpi.state.nc.us. If you
have suggested agenda items or study group topics for the first meeting, please send them at this time to
Mr. Pore. We will follow the format you developed at the last advisory council meeting and complete
our work on the guiding principles.
