The EBRD is
opening an office
in Washington, D.C.
The European Bank for Reconstruction
and Development (EBRD) is opening its
first Representative Office for North
America in Washington, D.C. on 14 April.
The office will broaden and strengthen the
EBRD’s cooperation with US, Canadian
and Mexican companies with a focus
on project finance, corporate loans,
co‑financing, trade facilitation, direct
equity, technical assistance, procurement
and consultancy opportunities in the
36 countries where the Bank invests.
This year the EBRD celebrates its 25th
anniversary. We were established in 1991
to support the development towards
open, market economies. Today, we are
the largest single investor in many of
our countries of operations. Canada,
Mexico and the United States of America
are founding members of the EBRD and
important contributors to our work.
Our Representative Office in Washington,
D.C. will leverage the Bank’s knowledge and
create investment opportunities for North
American companies. We will work to deepen
About the EBRD
the understanding of EBRD products through
marketing and networking opportunities
across the Americas. We invite North
American companies to draw on the Bank’s
strong private sector expertise built over a
quarter of a century to support investments
in a region that stretches from central Europe
to central Asia, the Western Balkans and
the southern and eastern Mediterranean.
