Mobile Food Vending is one of the fastest growing entrepreneurial industries in the
world. In a time of recession and high unemployment rates, people are searching for ways to
create their own job rather than waiting for the market to make a turn for the better. With this
increase in usage of food trucks, local governments are investigating methods to effectively
regulate these operations with the use of a food truck ordinance. Through research of the
literature on the subject and the completion of a food truck ordinance analysis, I have formulated
my own list of preliminary recommendations for a food truck ordinance.
