1) Call to order: President, Abby Ray called the meeting to order at 6:00 on Monday
2) Approval of minutes: Minutes were approved from January 28, 2013
3) Guest Speaker: NUR 406 Group Presentation: Alcohol and Date Rape Drugs
4) Officer reports
a) Secretary: State Convention is Saturday February 23rd: Taking a van!
5) Special committees reports:
a) Social Committee: Pottery event; paint plate or bowl for $15- information will be
sent to you March 14th Thursday (Must pay before)
b) Mentor Committee: Resumania- Tuesday (AJ Atrium) Wedneday (Student
Center Cardinal Hall A)-Thursday (Bracken room 104) from 11am-2pm. Those
pre-nursing students who have to turn in your resumes this week, go to this and
get feedback on your resume!
c) Fundraising Committee: in 2 weeks, we will be selling Abby’s Candles and
talking to Insomnia cookies about opportunities there!
d) NOMCOM: 2 applications available: officers for BSNA Due March 18th Second:
delegate application for National Convention (someone who is attending
nationals) Due February 20th
e) Community Service Committee: Second Harvest Food bank need 15-20 people
March 23rd. Driving to ARF every Wednesday 3:30 to 5 contact tjsmith6@bsu.edu
if interested.
6) Unfinished business:
a) State convention
i) If you haven’t registered, do so NOW ($40)
ii) Taking University Van down with a few personal vehicles- if you need
transportation email Doc or Kadee (kdollar@bsu.edu)
iii) Think about running for IANS executive board!

b) National convention- if you have any interest at all in this, please talk to Doc!
7) New business:
a) Class of 2014 are collecting donations for Riley. Bring in string and
beads/supplies to make bracelets to Cn111. There is a basket in the room labeled
“Donations”
8) Next meeting: Next meeting will be held February 25, 2013 Monday CN160 (We will
be electing national voting delegates)
9) Announcements:
a) If you are coming to state and would like to ride in the van- come down and let
us know now.
b) if you’re considering running for office… Applications are due Monday March
18th
c) If you are interested in running for Indiana Association Nursing Students
executive board, see Doc.
d) Cancer Ribbons are for sale for $1
e) BSNA is the 2nd largest chapter in Indiana! (Last year we weren’t even ranked!)
