Biographical Note
John H. Timmerman is a professor of English at Calvin College. Professor Timmerman received his
undergraduate education at Calvin College, graduating in 1968. He went on to receive both his master’s
degree (1971) and his PhD (1973) at Ohio University. Timmerman has written over 15 books on Robert
Frost, Jane Kenyon, T.S. Eliot, John Steinbeck and Frederick Manfred, as well as several Christian novels
and devotionals.
Scope and Contents
This collection includes correspondence, documents, photographs, and publications from John H.
Timmerman ranging from 1936 to 2002 regarding author John Steinbeck.
