THE APPLICATION AND ENROLMENT PROCESS
Application process
1) Coordinator of a partner university needs to email to international.study@hse.ru
with a nomination that includes the following information:
Nominated student’s name, email, sex, field of study, semester, study level, and level of English proficiency
2) Student receives a welcome letter from international.study@hse.ru
with an invitation to fill out an application form online and attach the following documents:
Scanned copy of the passport (should be valid of at least 1,5 years from the entry date).
Copies of the university/college transcripts/records from the current studies, when available
Academic reference (at least one).
Preliminary list of courses a student intends to take.
After all documents are reviewed, a student will receive an invitation letter and a letter of acceptance.

HSE provides visa support for international students. A HSE formal invitation is required to get a student visa. Initially, a 90-day single entry visa will be given to a student, which will then be extended for the whole period of studies.
We strongly recommend that international students purchase their health insurance from health insurance providers in their home country before arriving in Russia.
Health insurance and medical treatment for non-Russian speaking students may be quite expensive if purchased locally from the Russian healthcare providers. If a student has an affiliation with a health insurance in his/her home country, it is his/her responsibility to make sure it is valid in the Russian Federation.
