BORRON® NF- Auxiliary for liming and deliming processes
Features
BORRON® NF is based on polyphosphates.
Handling & storage:
Wear gloves and goggles during handling. CLOSE SACK TIGHTLY
AFTER USE AND STORE IN A DRY PLACE.
Can be stored for about 1 year (from date of production) if kept in a dry
place.
Benefits
BORRON® NF shows good binding power towards calcium and iron ions
BORRON® NF helps to prevent the formation of lime blast, gypsum and
iron stains.
BORRON® NF has a dispersant action and thus keeps the calcium
hydroxide in suspension during the liming process.
BORRON® NF can reduce the calcium content in the pelt during CO2
deliming.
Application
As a dispersing auxiliary during liming:
The addition of 0.2 – 0.5% BORRON® NF (on salted weight) during the
liming process keeps the calcium hydroxide in suspension and thus
makes the latter much more effective, resulting in more even swelling and
a smoother pelt.
For the prevention of lime blast/lime stains/gypsum stains in the
deliming stage:
1. 0.2 – 0.5% BORRON® NF (on salted weight) is added to the last
wash-water after liming and/or 0.2 – 0.5% BORRON® NF (on pelt
weight) can be added at the start of deliming.
2. To improve the solubility of calcium hydroxide during CO2 deliming,
the drum is run with 0.2 – 0.4% BORRON® NF before introducing the
CO2.
