The first lecture hour of a chapter will be devoted to a discussion of the main topics in the chapter and the second lecture hour will be used to go over all of the multiple choice questions in the book. Each Friday's quiz consists often multiple choice questions (5 per chapter) taken directly from the text except for minor numerical changes. The final exam covers all ten chapters with one multiple choice question per chapter. Each quiz, as well as the final exam, counts for 20 points. The best 5 of the 6 scores counts towards the total grade. No alternate dates are allowed for the quizzes or the final exam. You are encouraged to update statistical information in the book and hand them in to the instructor. points toward increasing your grade from one letter grade to the next.
