University Library Schedule of Hours
Budget Group Proposal
May 1, 2008
In an attempt to address ongoing budget planning issues, as well as to bring greater consistency to our
campus-wide approach to Library hours, the Budget Group has reviewed the FY09 student assistant wage
proposals submitted by units, as well as a variety of use data (gate count, circulation by happening location,
call slip activity, etc.), and other factors, to prepare the following proposed schedule of hours. The Budget
Group recognizes that funds currently allocated for FY09 student assistant wages do not match these
proposals precisely, but provides the following as a model to which we should aspire (and toward which units
should orient their discussions of use of permanent staff time, GA time, etc.).
The hours suggested below are meant for Fall Semester and Spring Semester. Summer I, Summer II, and
Holiday/Intersession schedules will be addressed separately. Please review this proposal with members of
your division in anticipation of an AC discussion on May 19th.
