Students enrolled in SOCW482 and SOCW 483 Senior Field Education Practicum are assessed by agency field instructors at the end of the fall and spring semesters. Through the Agency Field Education Performance Evaluation, agency field instructors rate students on all 41 practice behaviors on a 0 to 4 scale as follows: 4 3 2 1 0 Demonstrates overall competence for this practice behavior Demonstrates more than satisfactory knowledge and or skill for this practice behavior Demonstrates satisfactory knowledge and or skill for this practice behavior Demonstrates minimal knowledge and or skill for this practice behavior Does not demonstrate knowledge and/or skill for this practice behavior It is expected that students in the senior year will achieve a rating of 3 or better on all practice behaviors. The table below shows the percentage of students that achieved a rating of 3 or better on the competency, which is a compilation of the ratings on the individual practice behaviors for the competency. There were 28 students that completed the Senior Field education practicum for the 2011-2012 academic year.
