Revise postcards—maybe not, depending on cost of billboards b.
Karen will investigate putting billboards on the side of MTD campus buses; Surface 51 has done these billboards before. They would emphasize that the library is a place to get help with data.

Rubric for data purchases (draft in box.com at https://uofi.box.com/files#/files/0/f/371283651/1/f_3276693793 )
Merinda has made this into a web form; access it at https://illinois.edu/fb/sec/1986377 .
Complete forms will come to Karen; she will copy them into the box.com folder for the application being evaluated. If it’s easier for you to fill out the Word document and send it to
Karen as an attachment, that also works. The form is in the box.com folder for the data purchase program.
After the October 8 deadline for applications, Karen will let everyone know which ones they should evaluate before our October 22 meeting. We have three applications so far.
4.
Assessment of service
We had a broad-ranging discussion of how to use outcomes-based assessment in data services.

Updates/Announcements a.
Library position requests are due in early November. Karen, Sarah, and Jenny will resubmit the request for a GIS specialist. We talked about broadening the request to
get a larger pool of applicants with good technical skills who could pick up either GIS or numeric data software skills, and have some programming experience.
