How Growth is Measured When Content Standards Change
In the 2012-13 school year, North Carolina implemented new, more rigorous content
standards in all content areas. The assessments administered in the 2012-13 school year
were aligned to these content standards. A document that outlines how growth is
measured from one year to the next when content standards change, is available on the
Educator Effectiveness website at http://www.ncpublicschools.org/effectivenessmodel/evaas/resources/.
Home Base Release and Upgrade Documentation New on the Web
A new page that provides information on new releases and upgrades to Home Base
applications is available online at

Global Education to Prepare Students for Living, Working in a Worldwide
Community
A new website highlighting global education is now available at
http://www.ncpublicschools.org/curriculum/globaled/. The website provides resources
and supporting action that will be used to ensure that every public school student in North
Carolina graduates fully prepared to live and work in an interconnected world. In
addition, the State Board of Education Report on the Task Force for Global Education
and a timeline to implement the recommendations for global education is also available
on the website.
Incentive and Support Document for National Board Candidates Now Online
A document that outlines incentives and support offered for National Board certification
candidates is available online at
http://www.ncpublicschools.org/educatoreffectiveness/nationalboardcertification/resourc
ecenter/. Scroll to the bottom of the page and look for the section entitled, “Local
incentives and support.” The document highlights incentives by school district for the
2013-14 school year.

Standards for Mathematical Practice Poster (Small)
