2011 SENIOR POSTERS Posters are made to display at the senior party. Whether you are preparing traditional paper or digital posters, the basics are the same. POSTERS NEED TO BE VERTICAL Traditional poster: Use standard size 22” x 28” poster board in Eastview colors; blue, black or white (smooth surface poster board is best for laminating). Poster board can be found at office supply stores, copy stores or craft stores … Digital poster: Get as close to the standard size 22” x 28” as possible. Digital options are available at all photo centers (Creative Memories, Sam’s Club, Snapfish …) PICK OUT YOUR PHOTOS Posters can include your child’s whole life, just their school years, only senior year or some particular theme – the choice is yours. You may want to make color copies of your photos, since they will be laminated. It is best to use photo tape, double sided tape or glue sticks. Do not use scotch or masking tape or rubber cement. Memorabilia and embellishments can be included - on traditional posters keep items flat due to lamination and on digital, scan the items. LAMINATION Traditional & Digital: After construction, laminate the poster (more information and special pricing will be provided at a later date). We have no preferences between hot or cold lamination. LABEL YOUR POSTER Put the student’s name and a cell phone number on the back of the poster after lamination with permanent marker. PLANNING SESSIONS We will offer 3 sessions to help answer any of your questions, provide many examples and assist you however we can (January, February, and March in the school commons). Information about the specific dates and times will come through the Eastview daily email announcements. The local scrapbook stores also offer classes to assist you. There will also be poster examples on the school website. DROP OFF POSTER You will be dropping off posters at the school sometime towards the end of May. Information on exact date, time and place will be available through the Eastview daily email announcements. PICK UP POSTER Your student will bring their poster home with them from the senior party. The poster is for your senior; it can be simple or elaborate, there is no wrong way. Joy Sharp – jcs@rsterenson.com and Sue Henry – suehenry@charter.net
