Space Management Space Management at UW-Stout is facilitated by the Campus Planner and includes the following roles and responsibilities: • • Facilitate UW-Stout’s comprehensive Capital Planning activities Develop UW-Stout’s Biennial Capital Budget submission o Coordinate the development of guidelines and timelines for each phase of the Biennial capital budget; prepare and submit the Six Year Campus Physical Development Plan and campus Space Use Plan as required by UW System and Department of Administration’s Division of State Facilities (DSF); and develop and submit Capital Budget Project Requests and Requests for A/E Design Services as directed by UW System • Facilitate in the implementation of the Biennial Capital Budget and communicate progress o Write Requests for Architectural and Engineering Design Services; facilitate planning and design phases of projects, as appropriate; and facilitate the Percent for Arts program • Maintain dialogue with UW System, campus, city officials relating to capital project needs • Administer space management process for space use, utilization and assignment of campus space • Serve as Campus Real Estate Officer o Primary university contact for prospective seller of real estate; communicate with UW System Administration (Capital Planning and Budget and Legal) for eligibility; verify funding source; facilitate appraisal process; and draft Option to Purchase, prepare agency request and obtain abstract • Facilitate exterior and interior signage process to ensure compliance with identity and signage standards • Facilitate the Laboratory Modernization Process through the ASA Space Committee • Serve as campus capital planning representative on various committees o ADA Committee; Campus Physical Development Committee (CPDC); Campus ASA Space Committee; Capital Projects Committee; Campus Master Planning Committee; Main Street of Menomonie; and other project committees
