Welcome to Eastview High School! I look forward to teaching and working with you this school year.
What follows are my expectations for this school year. Let’s work together to make it all happen.
As a student I expect you to be respect myself and the students in the classroom: Listen to others and
contribute to class discussion. Do not talk while I am talking. Clean up after yourself, play fair, keep
food and drink out of the classroom. Follow directions the first time given and stay seated until you are
dismissed No cell phone use unless so instructed. Use appropriate language. Treat others as you wish to
be treated.
As a student I expect you to be ready to learn: Have your calculator (TI-83 or above), book, pencil, and
notebook every day. Get to class on time and be ready to go! Extra help: Times will be posted. I am
generally available before school and several times after school each week.
As a student I expect you to use your class work time: Use this time for your math homework. Get
started so you have a chance to make sure you really know what you are doing. Don’t waste the time
with calculator games or doing homework for other classes. Keep your voice down and stay on task.
As a student I expect you to do your homework: It is really difficult to learn math without doing your
homework. Take book notes and add what you need from classroom notes. Copy down sample
problems. Show all your work when necessary.
As a student I expect you to demonstrate academic integrity: Do your own homework. Complete your
own tests. No cell phone should be out during any test or quiz.
