DILATION!!!!
Directions: Pick one of the following images to dilate. Place a series of points along the major parts of the outline of the picture (you
should have enough points that you can tell what the picture looks like). Choose a scale factor big enough to dilate your image so that
it takes up the entire piece of your grid paper. Copy your dilated image onto the full size piece of grid paper. Due Thursday.
Grade Points:
 Correct scale factor: does your image take up most of the full sized grid paper (not too big, not too small)
 Image looks close enough to the original. I’m not grading you on your artwork, but you needed to have picked enough points
so that the original and the image look almost identical. Make sure you have all your points plotted so I can see how many
you used (you can’t just draw it on there! )
 List of all your points: Make a list of all of the points you plotted on your dilation (after you multiplied by the scale factor).
 Dilated image is colored: Make it look neat!
