Cedar Park LEGO League May 2015 Dear 3rd and 4th grade families, LEGO League involves much more than just building robots. In the Project, teams research a real world theme, create an innovative solution, and share their findings with the community. In the Robot Game, they design, build, and program their team robot to perform a series of tasks or missions. The LEGO League program usually starts up fast and furiously as soon as school gets started in the fall. We have traditionally met twice a week after school. But a few parents and kids have asked if we might get organized this spring so that some LEGO work can take place over the summer. Once we know which families are interested in participating in this summer team we will figure out the logistics that work best –number of meetings, best time, etc. Usually LEGO teams are under the mentorship of parents. We would like to move the Cedar Park teams in that direction, so we can offer more students the opportunity to participate. This will also allow the teams to have greater flexibility when they choose to meet.
