Content Reviewer Job Description ● Be knowledgeable of content requirements and federal and state laws and/or guidelines regarding; copyright, Fair Use, and accessibility and report any violations of federal and state laws and/or guidelines to the NCVPS Staff. ● As part of a team, you will develop: ○ a course description to include pre-requisites, list of non-specific textbooks, if applicable, a list of materials, and recommended Web sites as resources. ○ a course outline and a standards mapping document using the templates provided. ○ a unit outline for each unit in the course. ● As the team lead, you will ○ organize the dates, times, and locations of team meetings that fit the majority of the team’s schedules and create and share agendas with the team and NCVPS staff. ○ create a copy of the planning and feedback documents to be used with the team. ○ monitor revisionist work and ensure deadlines are met. ○ inform and collaborate on next steps with the Curriculum IL when deadlines are not met or team members are not participating. ○ collaborate with the Curriculum staff when there is a question or concern with the team, course, or process. ● As the content reviewer, you will ○ review content developed or revised to ensure it meets the goals and objectives of the NC content standards and NCVPS Instructional Design standards. The review should ensure that the content is engaging to all learners, allows for differentiation, includes collaborative assessments and incorporation of 21st Century concepts, and aligns to Universal Design for Learning (UDL), copyright, and accessibility guidelines. ○ document your review on the feedback document and ensure the developers (or revisionists) revise or recreate the content based on your documented reviews, according to the timeline. Uphold all NCVPS policies and procedures within course development to include meeting all deadlines and communicating with your team and meeting the requirements outlined on the NCVPS Content Reviewer Checklist. ● Agree any work completed while under contract with NCVPS is the property of NCVPS. ● Provide own computer equipment and Internet access. ● The contractor further agrees to the following stipulations: ● You will be working with a team of six developers, a content reviewer, and an LMS Designer team member. As the Content Reviewer you will be responsible for reviewing all modules in the course and ensuring the revisions are made. The teams will have specific deadlines throughout the contract based on the timeline provided by NCVPS staff. You will be expected to meet those deadlines satisfactorily or you may be replaced. The content will be engaging to all learners, allow for differentiation, include collaborative assessments and incorporation of 21st Century concepts, and align to Universal Design for Learning (UDL), copyright, and accessibility guidelines. ○ revise (or recreate) the content you create based on reviews documented by the content reviewer and LMS designer, according to the timeline. ● Uphold all NCVPS policies and procedures within course development to include meeting all deadlines and communicating with your team lead or Curriculum IL when a deadline cannot be met and meeting the requirements outlined on the NCVPS Development Checklist. ● Agree any work completed while under contract with NCVPS is the property of NCVPS. ● Provide own computer equipment and Internet access. The contractor further agrees to the following stipulations: ● You will be working with a team of six revisionists, a content reviewer, and an LMS Designer team member. The units in the course will be divided among 2 person teams. The teams will have specific deadlines throughout the contract based on the timeline provided by NCVPS staff. You will be expected to meet those deadlines satisfactorily or you may be replaced.
