Create a map essay of Russia's Expansions using the following important dates for reference:

1. For each date find a map that shows the Russian Expansion that occurred. (Make certain that
you cite your map source.)
2. For each date map you use explain the expansion that occurred:
 describe some of the basics that can be seen by examining the maps
 add some details that don’t appear on the map but are relevant to what is being shown
(for example a war or political or agricultural crisis that stimulated the need to expand)
