INDEPENDENT PRODUCTION CONTRACT
The Duncan Group
BACKGROUND
Milwaukee Public Television is partnering with an independent producer for the Jobs
Initiative. Initially, the Duncan Group will assist with fundraising and serve as coproducer of a major primetime documentary tentatively scheduled to air in November
2010.
The Duncan Group will also serve as a contributing content consultant for Jobs
segments to be included in MPTV’s weekly series, Jobs website development, and
related special events as additional funds are raised for these elements.
Joint fundraising is nearly complete for the first phase of the initiative; however the
project will not begin until a minimum of $350,000 in underwriting has been raised. The
Duncan Group will be contracted to produce the documentary WORK, MONEY,
MEANING (wt) and work in an advisory capacity on other elements of the Jobs Initiative
for an amount not to exceed $329,178.
ACTION
The board is asked to approve a co-production agreement not to exceed $329,178 with
