Bachelor of Science
Food Science and Technology
Recommended Electives
The Food Science and Technology program has three components:
I.
II.
III.
General Education Courses (43 credits)
Major Studies (59-62 credits)
Electives, Student-Designed Concentration, or Minor (15-18 credits)
If you wish to satisfy the program’s third component by taking free electives or by designing a
concentration, the courses listed below (pages 2-7) have been clustered into interest areas for your
planning purposes.
You may either pick courses within an interest area, or pick and choose among all the courses,
regardless of interest area.
NOTE: Please work with your adviser when planning a student-designed concentration.
