Most of the faculty members are attending STTP workshops,
FOREWORD
We are pleased to place before you the Newsletter of our College for
the quarter ended on 30th June 2014.
The notable events have been the presentation of papers by
Dr. Nirmal Sahuji and Dr. Anil Hiwarekar in London conference. This
will surely encourage more participation in National and International
seminars, QIPs, and short term research programs in institutes and
laboratories of repute which is reflected in the overall culture and
ambience of our college. This will greatly benefit the students aspiring
to take up research as their career.
On our part we have been arranging competitions, workshops and
courses in our college for the benefit of staff as well as students
through interactions with counterparts from other institutions.
The students have brought laurels by winning award at GMRT
Khodad for their model presentation of Dual Axis tracker for solar
panels.
For the first time we have ventured to depute students to take
training in Cummins for two months which will surely result in

Various data analysis and mining techniques for predicting
future were discussed during the theory sessions. Many concepts of statistics and computer data analysis algorithms are
used in combination for predictive analytics. “XL miner” tool is
used for lab sessions where many big data sets belonging to
different domains were analyzed.
There were 38 participants (1 from USA and 1 from Dubai)
from different domains like Academia, Data Analysts, Business
Analyst, Process Consultants etc.
