Projet de Cuisine (Cooking Project) Point Value: 20 points Due Date: Friday, February 15, 2013 Overview of project For this required project, you will be researching, planning, preparing and serving elements of a French meal for your family, yourself or your group. By doing this, you will be exposed to the art of French cooking, a major part of the French Culture. You need not spend a lot of money on the project; plenty of low cost French recipes exist. This project should be completed in groups of 3 (an occasional group of 4 might be acceptable with teacher consent). Project requirements 1. The meal must consist of an appetizer, main course and dessert at minimum. 2. You must submit photographs of yourselves in the process of preparing and serving the meal. You may also submit a cooking show video if you so choose. 3. You must submit a brief, written review of the meal from each person (mom, dad, brothers, sisters, you, teachers, etc.) who sampled the meal. 4. You must submit printed copies of your recipes, all of which must be French in origin and will need to be pre-approved. 5. Projects must be submitted in an organized fashion; a folder or a binder will suffice. Resources I have several French cookbooks, which I will bring to class one day for you to look over. I will also attempt to get you access to the computer lab for internet research.
