The proposed SSTP is presented to the State Board for discussion on April 6
The new SSTP has some major differences from those in the past:
• Shorter time‐frame (2 yrs. V. 4 or 5 yrs.)
• Fewer Objectives
• Aligned with the actions it will take to be successful with ACRE and RttT Plans and Objectives 2

To ensure equity of access for all of NC’s P12 students, the 2011‐2013 SSTP shall focus on: • A Statewide Shared Services Model
• Universal Access to Personal Teaching and Learning Devices
• Statewide Access to Digital Teaching and Learning Resources, Including Digital Textbooks
• A Statewide Model of Technology‐Enabled Professional Development
• 21st Century Leadership for All Schools and Districts

Rounds 1 & 2 of LEA Site Interviews: 54 completed by the end of May
Advisory and Working Groups
• 52 community participants in our Cloud Advisory process
• Shared Services Advisory Group, 16 members
• Identity and Access Management, Data collection, and Consortium Buying Working Groups, each with about 12
• In all groups, each region is represented, and assigned based on interest and subject matter expertise.

NCEdCloud Updates at Regional Technology Directors’
Meetings in late April and May
• Focus on what we’ve learned at site interviews
• Focus on architecture and state blueprint possibilities (Infrastructure, Identity Management, Consortium Purchasing), including to assist with LEA “deeper dive” RttT planning
