4 Notices from the Society Proposed Change of Constitution The following change of constitution will be discussed and decided upon at the Ordinary Meeting of the Society in September 2001. The reason behind the change is that there is a greater attendance of IMS members at the September meeting. Old 11. There shall be at least two general meetings of the Society in each year; the last general meeting held in a year shall be known as the Annual General Meeting. No motion may be passed at a meeting of the Society unless at least seven ordinary members are present when it is proposed and when it is decided upon. Proposed 11. There shall be at least two general meetings of the Society in each year, with at least one held after July 31st. The first general meeting held in a year after July 31st shall be known as the Annual General Meeting. No motion may be passed at a meeting of the Society unless at least seven ordinary members are present when it is proposed and when it is decided upon. The change if approved by the members at the next September meeting will come into immediate effect.
