Agri News, MN 09-11-07 Iowa news and notes Farm Transition Network going international AMES, Iowa -- The National Farm Transition Network, coordinated from Iowa State University, has recently broadened its circle to include members from around the world. Under its new name, the International Farm Transition Network will continue to help farm succession organizations and hold annual conferences to provide informational forums for member organizations. It now has members in Canada and is building relationships with organizations in Japan and England. ISU, Monsanto reached patent agreement AMES, Iowa -- The Iowa State University Research Foundation and Monsanto Company have reached agreement that resolves a patent dispute related to lowlinolenic soybeans and establishes a relationship that paves the way for future technology development. Under terms of the agreement, Monsanto will receive a commercial license from ISU for current and future low-linolenic acid product lines developed by the university. The university will receive a research license for the use of Roundup RReady2Yield'' soybeans. Additional terms of the agreement weren't discussed.
