DATE & MATE ZOO STYLE
The Blank Park Zoo is giving a new meaning to "the birds and the bees."
At 6 p.m. Feb. 10, it will host a "mating" dinner with Jill Pruetz, an assistant
professor of anthropology from Iowa State University. Pruetz will discuss
some unique mating habits of primates (nonhuman), just in time for Valentine's
Day. Zookeepers also will be on hand to answer questions about mating habits of
the zoo's animals.
Folks will enjoy a three-course dinner by Baratta's, along with a glass of wine
from Jasper Winery and a box of chocolates from Suzette's Homemade Candies.
