CLEAR LAKE — Architectural historian Molly Myers Naumann will give a public lecture at 1:30 p.m. at the Clear Lake Public Library. Admission is $5. The lecture, “Architecture: The History We Live In,” is sponsored by the Clear Lake Arts Center. FOREST CITY — “Bash on the Grass,” a free concert, begins at 7 p.m. on the campus lawn next to the Luise V. Hanson Library with music by Lucky Boys Confusion and Camera Can’t Lie. FOREST CITY — “Picnic” will be presented at 7:30 p.m. at Smith Theatre as part of the Waldorf College Theatre Department’s 2006-2007 season. Tickets are $7 for adults, $5 for senior citizens and students. MASON CITY — The Jon Hepperly Band will play at 5 p.m. on the Plaza in Downtown Mason City for the final Thursday Night Live at 5 of the season. In case of rain, the concert will be moved to Southbridge Mall Center Court. MASON CITY — “Steel Magnolias” will be presented by the Mason City Community Theatre at 8 p.m. Tickets are $14 for adults and $12 for students. NASHUA — A Pumpkin Fest will be held at 6 p.m. at the Iowa State University Research Farm near Nashua. Samples of pumpkin stew will be served right in the pumpkin.
