Accounting students who completed their bachelor’s and master’s degrees at UNI achieved
a 100% first-attempt pass rate on the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) exam – a rate

wide variety of settings, including rural, urban and international schools.
The annual UNI Overseas Recruiting Fair is the oldest and largest international recruiting

CSBS students present original research, exchange ideas and learn more about their
areas of study during the annual Student Research Conference, which brings Midwestern
graduate and undergraduate students to campus.
Political science and political communication majors benefit from Iowa’s first-in-the-nation
status to select presidential candidates to send to the party’s national convention.
Each session provides 20 classroom hours per week of English
language study and cultural orientation. You can also receive
assistance with laboratory work, out-of-classroom activities

Application Process
Take the first step and join the University of Northern Iowa family. To apply to UNI, you will need to do the following:
1.Go to uni.edu/intladm and fill out the application for admission.
2.Pay $50 (undergraduate) or $75 (graduate) application fee.
3.Submit educational transcripts.
· Unofficial documents can be submitted at the time of application. However, all official school transcripts—
bearing the seal and signature of a school registrar—must be mailed directly from the institution to UNI
before enrollment.
· All transcripts in a language other than English must be accompanied by an English translation.
4.All applicants who are not native speakers of English must submit proof of English proficiency.

SAT—460 (critical reading) - for undergraduates only
· Conditional admission may be considered for undergraduate students. You will be tested upon arrival to
campus and will be required to enroll in intensive English courses as necessary.

and supporting documents depending on the major for which they are applying. Check your specific program

International Student Scholar Award
· Scholarships range from $1,000 to $6,000 per year.
· Students are evaluated on academic performance, proof of English proficiency, and a record of
participation in leadership and service opportunities.

Presidential Scholarship
· Students receive an award of $8,000 per year and participate in the Presidential Scholar Program.

· Full awards cover the cost of tuition and provide a monthly stipend.
· The deadline to submit applications for fall 2016 is February 1, 2016.

On-Campus Employment
· More than 3,600 campus jobs are available to students with student (F) visas or
exchange visitor (J) visas.
· International students have a 20-hour-per-week employment limit.
· Pay typically ranges from $7.50 to $9.50 per hour.
