Financial Management Functions for the 28 Fire Stations i.e.
Financial Planning and Reporting – Capital and Operating
Personnel and Performance Management
Procedures, Systems and Controls
Financial Administration
Expenditure Control
Debtors Control Administration
As well as assisting with the following functions:
HR matters
Project Management
Appointed the Specs /Tender Chair Person and Evaluation Chair
Person .

30 years experience in City Emergency Services, of which 28 years were
with the Metro Ambulance and Rescue Service, City of Cape Town
Where he progressed within the service, his final position being as the
Head : Logistics, and responsible for Supply Chain Management,
Tenders, Finance, HR, Data and General Administration as well as
responding to medical and rescue cases operationally and assisted in a
number of mercy flights via the Red Cross Air Mercy Service and has
received numerous commendations for outstanding patient care and
dedication. He was awarded the Service Excellence award by the
Mayoral committee for outstanding service to the City of Cape Town.
Prior to transferring to the Fire and Rescue he was also seconded to the
Provincial Government for 2 years as Assistant Director, Supply Chain
Management, serving on the Provincial Bid Committee as a member, as
well as being the National Government Committee Member on the
National Government Tender Work Group where he was the author of
Emergency Services specifications for Rescue, medical equipment and
uniforms.
He took up his current position at the Fire and Rescue Services in
November of 2006.
