Build-up Repair
Description
The OSG mounting pad surface on the RGB Accessory Drive
Cover often suffers from corrosion problems. Some parts
have been seen with large portions of the surface missing
rendering the whole component scrap.
This repair, developed in-house, solves the problem by
utilizing a special welding process to rebuild the affected
areas. This process is then followed by several machining
operations to return the cover to its original drawing dimensions.

Turnaround Time: 25 calendar days
This repair can also be combined with other available
PWC repairs if required.
In order to verify serviceable condition of specific components, all required tests, including NDT and dimensional
inspection is performed following repair. The procedure is
completed by a painting process to bring the part back to an
as new condition.
