GKN Driveshaft (Chongqing) Company (GDC) is a joint
venture established in 2006 by GKN, SDS and China Changan
Automobile Group (CCAG).
The Wuhan plant started production in 2009 and Changchun
plant in 2011. A new precision forging facility SDS Wuhan
plant II opened in 2013.

venture established by GKN and Henan Zhongyuan Engine
Fittings Stock Company (ZYNP Corporation). GKNZ possesses
state of art foundry and testing equipment and supplies

GKN Powder Metallurgy is the global leader in powder metallurgy.
GKN Sinter Metals China manufactures highly engineered
sintered products primarilly for automotive engine, transmission, body and chassis applications and has seen significant
growth in recent years. Its first plant was established in
Danyang, Jiang Su Province in 2006 and the Yizheng plant
opened in 2013.
Hoeganaes, which produces the metal powder used to
manufacture the sintered components, set up its new
powder mixing facility in Danyang in 2010 which enables a
much faster response to customer demand in China and the
Asia Pacific market. Hoeganaes China also has a Sales Centre
in Shanghai.

GKN funded the rebuilding of a school which had been completely
destroyed in the Sichuan earthquake in 2008. Ever since, GKN China

In 2009, GKN China launched a Students Sponsorship Programme,

providing internship and employment opportunities to graduates.

2010 in Shanghai.
In 2012, GKN China has won the prestigious British Business Award
of the Year'. This award was organised by the British Chambers of
Commerce in China, in partnership with UK Trade & Investment
(UKTI), Confederation of British Industry (CBI), China-Britain
Business Council (CBBC) and the British Council. It celebrates British
organisations that have demonstrated a strong commitment to the
development of a sustainable business partnership between the
UK and China, and GKN was commended for going the extra mile in
building long-term businesses.
