Jen & Ursula have developed a crossdisciplinary project that bridges the
disciplines of Biology and
In the Human Biology course Bio132,
students research a human health
disorder and write the text for a
graphic narrative that explains the
disorder from the perspective of the
course. The design of this project
allows for students to move along
specific axes of the undergraduate
student Research Skill
Development framework.

Assessment results have shown this
assignment/experience to positively
impact student learning.

Ursula & Jen will talk about their
plans for engaging sequential art
students in real-time dialogue with
the human biology students in an
effort to maximize the development
and pedagogical value of the projects.
