Creation of stapled anastomosis without leakage. Knowledge of various intraoperative intestinal stapling anastomosis techniques. Identify and manage intraoperative and/or postoperative potential complications of intestinal stapling anastomosis. Learning Objectives: 1) Loading, firing and reloading of various staplers. 2) Understanding the advantages and disadvantages of different staplers. 3) Identifying and determine appropriate action for a stapler misfire. 4) Identifying technical causes of anastomotic failure. 5) Understanding and management of potential postoperative complications of intestinal anastomosis.
