2012 Accomplishments
In 2009 the Payette National Forest was awarded
Native Plant Material funding to collect local native
seed to propagate genetically appropriate materials for
restoration projects in the South Fork of the Salmon
River and the East Fork of the Weiser River.
In 2012 seedlings of locally grown mountain alder,
Sitka alder, serviceberry, red osier dogwood, black
hawthorn, mockorange, golden current, wax current,
prickly current, woods rose and white spirea were
used to restore watersheds impacted by fires and
flood.
