The Regional Agreements Coordinator has the responsibility to establish and monitor a certification process on behalf of the Director, Acquisition Management, to assure Grants and Agreements Specialists selected within Region 5 have the knowledge, training and experience required to negotiate, develop, administer and close-out grants, cooperative agreements, memoranda of understanding and other agreements. Forest Supervisors and Regional Program Directors are designated signatory officials and are delegated the authority to sign grants, cooperative agreements, memorandums of understanding and other agreements for programs under their jurisdiction.
